Thank you for the confidence you have in me. I will work hard to justify that trust. We have several trail rides scheduled for 2012. I urge you to attend the rides that you can.
Mineola – March 16-18
Bandera – March 23-25
Storm Ranch (near Dripping Springs) – April 20-22
Menard – April 13-15 to be confirmed
WB Ride – May 17-20
Lake Waco – June 8-10
Lake Waco – September 28-30
Lake Somerville – December 7-9 (Christmas Ride)
Growing our membership is essential if we are to continue being a voice for trail development & retention of the trails we already have. At the peak we had 2000 members; we are now at 350. We are working now to contact riding groups throughout Texas to recruit members. If you ride with other groups I challenge you to tell them about TETRA. You can print membership forms from the website – if you have the form with you it can really help. New Members can also join up on the TETRA website www.tetratrails.com.
Parrie Haynes has been under assault by land developers and budget reductions. We continue to talk to Texas Parks & Wildlife about ways to keep it open. We discussed the possibility of TETRA members becoming camp hosts at Parrie Haynes on a rotating schedule, mostly on Friday through Sunday. If you have an interest in doing that you can contact me or any director to get your name on our list.
If you have any suggestions about ways to make TETRA better please contact me or your director. If you email me please include a phone number. Many times I am able to reply quicker by phone.
Gail Conway, DVM, TETRA President, 325.356.3355.
