  • Non-TETRA Member attending with or without guest. Electrical Available for additional fee.
  • For individual TETRA members attending for the weekend. Electrical available for an additional fee.

Fall Trail Challenge & Ride

Supper Friday Night - Breakfast Sat. AM

Potluck dinner on Saturday night *TETRA will provide meat.

Saturday Lunch & Sunday Meals on your own.

Trail Class For Fun, open to all weekend trail ride participants.

Try your luck at 8 trail obstacles . Trail Class Course will be held in camp area .Saturday starting at 1:00 p.m.

Spectators are encouraged to come and cheer on their favorites. Trail Class participants must sign up at the time they check in for trail ride.

Awards will be given Saturday evening. 

Come ride and have fun with us while you improve your trail skills!

All Weekend Riders are eligible for Trail Challenge!

Fees: TETRA Member $25; Non-TETRA Member $30. Day Ride $20. Electrical $12 for Members, $16.00 Non-Members, Pens with no Electrical $10.  To Reserve Electric contact Jan Price at: jpp50@clearwire.net or (254) 405-2503.

If you know of a business that might donate prizes for this, please email me (sylviaperry946@yahoo.com) and I will contact them. Remember, TETRA is a 501 C-3 (the company can be given a tax deduction for their donation) organization and the money goes to help support our equestrian trails and our Outreach Rides for children.

Directions to the Equestrian Center:

  • Traveling from Waco I-35S, take Hwy 190 west at Belton. In Killeen turn south on Hwy 195 for about 13 miles then turn right on FM 2670 at the blue "Parrie Haynes Youth Ranch" sign. Go 3.7 miles and take a right on Maxdale Road; the equestrian entrance is 2.2 miles north on Maxdale Road on the left, past the main ranch entrance. The entrance to the camp is through the second set of double aluminum gates; please close gate after entering. Proceed down the paved road until you come to the iron ranger. Payment is required before parking.
  • Traveling from Austin I-35N, take Hwy 195 north (exit 266) & drive for 24 miles; go through Florence and cross the Lampasas River, then turn left on FM 2670 at the blue "Parrie Haynes Youth Ranch" sign. Go 3.7 miles and take right on Maxdale Road; the equestrian entrance is 2.2 miles north on Maxdale Road on the left, this is past the main ranch entrance. The entrance to the camp is through the second set of double silver gates; please close gate after entering. Proceed down the paved road until you come to the iron ranger. Payment is required before parking.
