Caprock Canyon Spring Ride

Quitaque, Texas

May 8 to 10, 2015

Come join TETRA for the beauty of spring in the Caprock Canyon State Park. We will ride Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning we will enjoy a short ride. The meals provided will be Saturday evening pot-luck with the meat provided by TETRA.

TETRA has reserved the Wild Horse Campsite so we will have the whole campsite to ourselves.  There is overflow parking available.  Horse water is available at the open parking area. Eleven campsites have been reserved.  Bring your drinking water.  There are no restrooms at this site. Each individual will need to pay $4 park entry fee per day to the ranger at the office upon entry to the park; unless you have a park pass.  Check out is 2:00 p.m. Coggins papers will be checked upon arrival.

Costs: There will be a $20.00 ride fee per person and a preregistration/payment of $24 for the reserved campsite payable to TETRA. Please call Debby at 512-517-9476 to reserve your campsite.  Payment may be sent to 506 Hidden Oak  Elgin, Tx 78621.  The park entrance fee will be payable to the office upon entering the park.  Coggin's papers will need to be presented at this time, also.  They will ask for your truck/trailer license number as you register.

State Park Rules: All state parks require Coggins Papers upon entry to the park; these papers need to be inspected by the park ranger upon entry to the park. All animals and livestock must be on a restraining leash. No public display of alcohol is allowed.  The park's number is 806-455-1492.

Directions: The park is 3.5 miles north of State Highway 86 in Quitaque on FM 1065.
