SNAP and TETRA have partnered for a spring benefit ride to be held at the Lodge.  This will be the first time that we have had access to the arena and plan to host a playday Saturday morning. A Star Party is scheduled for Friday night.

Saturday morning before riding out, we will be entertained by the Hill Country State Natural Area Junior Rangers' Drill Team.

Guided trail ride groups will held Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning. 

There are 5 electric hookups available at the front of the lodge and an open pasture behind the lodge for dry camping; generators are allowed overnight. There will be a separate area for non-generators. Pens are available, also. TEXT Debby at 512-517-9476  to reserve.

Registration begins at 5 p.m., Friday, May 4.  Cowboy stew will be provided until gone.

Registration will commence at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday & Sunday. A current negative coggins certificate for each horse must be presented at registration.

Fee: Member Adults $30 /Non-Members Adults $35 Children under 18 years old are free. Day riders:$15for Saturday/ Day Riders Sunday $10.

Non-potable water is available for the horses.  Fee for elecric hookup site is $25 for weekend. Horse pens are $10 for weekend. No public restrooms.

    Breakfast each day will be served at 7:30 - 8:45                 Lunch each day is on your own                              Potluck Supper on Saturday will be at 6:30 p.m.

 Bring Auction Items - all money goes to benefit improvements at the park.

Ride out on Saturday will be at 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.  Sunday morning ride will be at 9:00 a.m. Riders may ride out with this group or ride on their own.  The playday in the arena will be from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

TETRA rules /trail etiquette must be observed on all TETRA sponsored trail rides.  Horses prone to kick must have a red ribbon attached to their tail.  Dogs must stay on a leash at all times. either in camp or on the trail.  Practice noise discipline in camp, i.e. no loud music. Be ready to ride at the set "ride out" time.  Make this trail ride enjoyable and safe for everyone by adhering to trail ride rules.

DIRECTIONS:  From Bandera, take Hwy 173 S to Bandera Creek Road; highway sign announces Hill Country State Natural Area. Go past HQ on park road, past Bar-O Day Use, past Trailhead Camp, to Group Lodge.  Electric sites are on your right.  Others park in the pasture behind the arena.
