November 9-11, 2018

Guided trail ride groups will be held Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning.
Registration:  Arrive after 2:00PM Friday to register. Park has requested there be no early arrivals to the Chapa campground.  

Saturday morning registration begins at 7:00 a.m.

A current Coggins certificate for each horse must be presented at registration.

Cowboy stew will be served Friday night till gone. Saturday and Sunday morning breakfast will be served. TETRA will provide the meat for Saturday evening pot-luck.
Breakfast will be served at 7:30 - 8:45 a.m. Lunch is on your own. Potluck Supper on Saturday will be at 6:30 p.m.

Fee: TETRA Members $30.  Non-Members $35. Children under 18 years old are free.

Day Riders for Saturday: $15/ Day Riders for Sunday: $10.

Electric hookups are $25 for the weekend. Horse pens are $10 for the weekend.There are 10 electric hookups and 10 pens in the barn are available. All hookups and pens have been reserved.  Contact Roy Blevins to be placed on the waitlist.

Bring Auction Items - all money goes to benefit improvements at the park.

Ride out on Saturday will be at 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Sunday morning ride at 9:00 a.m. Riders may ride out with this group or ride on their own. There maybe some playday activities in the open field. 

  • TETRA rules /trail etiquette must be observed on all TETRA sponsored trail rides. Horses prone to kick must have a red ribbon attached to their tail.
  • Dogs must stay on a leash at all times, either in camp or on the trail. P
  • Practice noise discipline in camp, i.e. no loud music.
  • Be ready to ride at the set "ride out" time.
  • Make this trail ride enjoyable and safe for everyone by adhering to trail ride rules.

DIRECTIONS: From Bandera, take Hwy 173 S to Bandera Creek Road; highway sign announces Hill Country State Natural Area. Go straight after entering the park, Chapa camp will be on the left.
