UPDATE SITE RESERVATION

Join us for a weekend ride at Land Heritage Institute, San Antonio.  This destination offers miles of lovely riding, excellent gathering area and much local history of ranching in San Antonio. 

LHI experienced a devastating loss during the extreme cold weather.  The bunkhouse, built from a donated school portable, caught fire and is a total loss.  TETRA will donate all proceeds from this ride to LHI. 

An auction with all proceeds going to LHI will be held in the LHI headquarters building Saturday night.  Any donated items are appreciated from attendees. 

Please consider a donation, in goods or funds.  Special items containing adult beverages will be made and are available for bidding by anyone over the age of 21.  

Gates open at 2:00PM. Registration begins at 5 P.M. Friday October 1, 2021

Fee:  TETRA member adults $30 non-member $35. Children 18 years of age and younger with a riding, registered adult, no fee.  

Meals: Pot Luck Friday and Saturday  evening at 6:00pm.  All other meals on your own.  Day Riders: $20/ day – no meals.

To reserve one of the ten (10) RV sites electric/ water/pen @ $25/night, please contact by text to Geri Bischoff @ 512-658-0937.  Confirmation of reservation via return text message.  LHI discounts do not apply during this LHI benefit weekend.    

Water for horses is available at LHI HQ.  Restroom/shower is also available at LHI HQ.

Ride Schedule

Saturday Morning ride:  9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Afternoon ride:   1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday Morning ride:    9:30 a.m.  to 12 p.m.

Trail Etiquette and other rules:

             All dogs must be on leash at all times.  No dogs allowed on the trail.

              Horses prone to kick must have a red ribbon.

Horse shoes are not required, ground is sandy.

               Uncontrollable horses are not allowed and will be asked to leave. 

               All riders please stay behind the Trail Boss/Ride Leader on the trail ride.

               Please practice reasonable noise discipline, i.e. generators, loud music, etc.

                LHI is an alcohol and smoke free facility

Directions:  From 1604S, go North on Applewhite Rd, turn right on Neal Rd.

From IH 35S, Exit 149, or 410S, go South on Hwy 16, to Lone Star Pass, turn left and go East to Applewhite Rd, turn right and go to Neal Rd, turn left.

To comply with Covid-19 recommendations, we ask all attendees respect social distancing guidelines of 6 feet, frequently wash hands, and wear a mask when indoors or when distancing outdoors of 6 feet is not possible. Exception to masking at meals, 6 foot social distancing should be maintained.

If you have been recently exposed to someone with Covid-19, running a fever, have a cough, shortness of breath, experiencing loss of smell, or gastrointestinal illness, stay home.
