Region 5 Trail Ride and Equine & K-9 Costume Contest and Hay Ride at
Mineola Nature Preserve
October 25-27, 2013
Come join us as we celebrate Fall at the Mineola Nature Preserve. Saturday and Sunday’s ride out time will be 9:30. We will have a slow, medium speed and a fast group of riders for Saturday’s ride.
Saturday around 4:00 pm, we will have an Equine & K-9 Costume Contest. We will have a non-partial judge pick the winner, and they will receive a prize.
No meals will be provided at this ride, however we will have a cook out both nights. If you wish to participate, bring something to cook on the grill, and a dish to share for Friday night. Saturday night will be steak night, please bring a steak to cook on the grill, and a dish to share.
Saturday supper is at 6:00.
On Saturday around 8:00 pm. we are have a Hay Ride through the Preserve in search of Big Foot.
Raffles: Tickets are $5.00 each.

The winner will be announced after Saturday’s supper.
We will have a donation box, and all donations would be appreciated. TETRA is a recognized 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are deductible as allowed by law.
The Riding Fee is $5.00 per day per horse. RV sites $20.00 per night (RV site has electric, water, and sewer). Pens are $5.00 per night per pen, payable to the City of Mineola . There are 14 sites available. There is no charge for primitive camping. The Equestrian Pavilion has restrooms with showers and a horse wash station.

Friday’s Check in will be after 3:00 pm, and Saturday’s Morning Check in starts at 7:30 am.
You will need to bring your horse(s) current negative coggins.

From I-20, in Lindale, Texas, turn North on U.S. 69, about 14 miles, cross the Sabine River and then continue approximately 1.5 miles, turn right (east) on Loop 564: For the Equestrian Trail Head: About one fourth mile, turn right on first road right before County Road 2724. Turn in at the street for the water treatment plant. The sign at the top of the hill notes horse trailer parking.
